Floor fitting carried out at a residential property on Rossetti Road in Rotherhithe, SE16. The client required new flooring throughout the ground floor of this converted flat. We lifted and removed the existing laminate, checked and prepared the subfloor, and installed new floor boards including all threshold strips and beading trims. The job was completed in a single day with full site clearance on completion.
Rotherhithe in SE16 sits along the south bank of the Thames between Bermondsey and Surrey Quays. The area has changed significantly over recent decades, with the old docklands transformed into residential and commercial developments alongside the surviving Victorian terraces and converted warehouse buildings that give Rotherhithe much of its character.
The mix of property types in SE16 means a range of subfloor conditions — concrete screed in newer blocks, suspended timber in older conversions, and occasionally direct-to-joist in the more original warehouse spaces. We assess each property individually and advise on the best fitting approach for the specific subfloor. There is no single right answer, and cutting corners on prep work always shows up later in the finished floor.
We cover Rotherhithe, Bermondsey, Surrey Quays and all of SE16. Contact us to arrange a free survey and written quote for your floor fitting project.
